
Jennifer had always hoped to be a multitasking star. She was a fan of diverse music styles as a kid, including Afro-Caribbean dances like merengue, salsa and bachata. As an adult, her most loved genres were traditional pop-hop music like R&B Hip-Hop, as well as mainstream pop-punk. Music was her passion, but she was equally fascinated by the film industry. West Side Story, a musical composed by Rita Moreno (1961), was her main source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer wasn't just a talented entertainer. She also spent 8 years in an Catholic elementary school named Holy Family. Jennifer then graduated after four years from Preston High School. At school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete and participated in tennis and track. Jennifer spent the majority of her time living in a 2-story house in the Castle Hill neighborhood. Jennifer quit her parents' house at 18 to move out. Lopez worked as a lawyer during that time. She also attended dance classes at night.
