Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. The mother of the child was home and also mother to her children. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began dancing and singing at an early age and frequently performed puppet shows in front of the kids in her community. The fairytale story of her rise to fame started when she won her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 which led to a call from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her whether she wanted to work in show business. McCormick was chosen to play in her debut major role in 1964 in an tv commercial featuring Mattels most recent doll, Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she was featured in another television commercial for Chatty-Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was chosen by La Jolla Playhouse to play the character of the character It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won a 1969 audition from 1,200 youngsters to be one of the oldest twins on the TV show The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams. He was just 19. She was 16. It could have been, she says. But, the time for our marriage wasn't right.
