Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. She was born on 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was a student for three years at the Royal Academy of Music London in the 1970s, was admitted. Lennox made it through on an allowance for students working part-time in order to help supplement her income. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability when compared with her peers and contemplated a possible alternative route she could take. Lennox began her career as an instrument player within the band Dragons Playground. But she quit before her band was invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. She was the lead singer to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox went on to record her solo debut album Diva. This was released in the year 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise both from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in November 2014. This C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera came out by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. It is a collection comprising four tracks that were that were improvised. The E.P. The first single from her debut album, Now I Letting You Go... was released as an accompaniment to her installation of artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
